Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Hope you are all enjoying the beautiful pre-spring weather. I thought I would bring some sunshine into everyone's day with a photo of my beautiful girl, Daisy, at the park. Isn't she lovely? (I could wax into song, but many of you would be disturbed by that -- or at least you would pretend to be, because I KNOW I can sing!)

Keith and Carol's Wedding
Describe what you did for the wedding. If you acted, tell your character's name and who the character was (uncle of the groom, for example) and then specific things about what you did, with whom you interacted, how they reacted, characters with whom you spoke or worked with. If you were in theatre production, describe what you contributed. Did the end result turn out in the way you imagined?

Sleep deprived!
Why couldn't we have spring forward next Sunday when we have Monday off? I hope you're having a nice restful day. Daisy and I had such a nice walk this morning and saw some mergansers thinking about mating at Rocky Point Park. The male birds are very dramatic, throwing their heads back and bobbing vigorously to show off to the females. I didn't remember about Spring Forward until the neighbour reminded me. Then I came in the house grumpily and switched the clocks that don't switch themselves.
Drama 9/10; Theatre Production -- remember to bring what you think you will wear to the weddings on Tuesday. Ushers, I will send you to get the classes who are coming.
If you are interested in going on the New York trip next April (2019), make sure you tell your parents that Mr. Aun and I are going to do an information session tomorrow at 7 in the theatre.
See you, dull and deprived, tomorrow morning!

Spring forward!
Don't forget to put your clocks ahead one hour on Saturday night! (I hate missing an hour's sleep! And apparently, there are more car accidents on the day after Spring Forward because people are so sleepy.)
Drama 8:
Which fairy tale performance did you like the best? Give two reasons for choosing the one you did.
How do you think the world began? Could you make a play out of your idea? How would you do it?
Drama 9/10; Theatre Production 11/12;
No journal today, but after we perform "Keith and Carol's Wedding", I will expect you to think about what you contributed to the performance and how it went.
Remember to find out a good story for the heritage drama project which we will start on after we get back from Spring Break.

Technology is a challenge
I have struggled mightily with signing into my blog both yesterday and today. I finally got in but I have no idea how. Here are your journals for March 2 (which came in like a lamb yesterday, for those of you, like me, who love all things weather!)
Grade 8:
How is your fairy tale mime coming along? Who is leading the group? Who selected and arranged the music? What role are you playing? What are you doing to make your role believable (facial expression, body language, reactions, costume, miming activities)? Describe the positive and negative aspects of the work your group has done (for example, you like the story you chose and you think "Mary" is a good leader, but you are angry because "Jack" has been uncooperative and never remembers what to do for his part.)
Drama 9/10; Theatre Production 11/12:
You have a handout for part of the journal -- "Keith and Carol's Wedding" -- answer the question at the beginning about how you plan to play your character and then suggest endings for the play. Theatre production will only answer the ending part, but you should also give a sketch of the costume of one of the characters -- using colour -- you can choose any one of the characters and you don't need to stick to clothes we have in the prop room. You should answer in as much detail as possible. For Theatre Production, you should also figure out how to decorate the green board for the wedding (I want photographs of Keith and Carol).
