Winter wonderland!

 Theatre Production:  Take a card from Ms. Kosar and make a snowflake with it that one of our actors can wear!

Directors:  How is work on your melodrama going?  What is your cast like?  What else do you need to do before Thursday?

Actors:  Who are you playing in the melodrama?  What will you do to make the character live?

Drama 8:  How did you choose your fairy tale?  What is the climax?  Who are you playing?  How will you make the character believable?

Try to find some music to accompany your mime for Tuesday.

Many heads make light work!

 Drama 8:  On a scale of 1 - 5, with 5 being excellent and 1 being terrible,  how would you rate yourself at working with a group?  What aspect of group work are you good at?  Explain.  How could you improve?  Would you say you are a good leader?  Explain.  Tell about a time you worked with. group and what you learned from the experience.  (It doesn't have to be a good experience.)

Remember -- you will be reciting "All the world's a stage" on Monday, November 25.

Senior Drama:

Theatre Production:  Karl will talk to you about the set for "I Shot Santa".  Tell him your ideas for the set that you wrote about last week.  Make a list of jobs that need to be done and then choose jobs that you will do.  We will start work on this next week.

Directors/Writers:  Write at least two scenes from your melodrama (at least two pages)

Actors:  Using your dramatic moment from last week, write a monologue from your point of view, as if you were telling an intimate friend about the experience and HOW YOU FELT.

Welcome to the Theatre, Grade 8's

 Drama 8:  What should Ms. Kosar know about you?  Do. you have stage fright?  How bad is it, if you have it?  Do you have any experience performing?  (even if you are a musician, or an athlete or a dancer, or a public speaker)?  What do you hope to learn in Drama?  You can share whatever else you might want to share that will help me teach you.  Also, please let me know if you prefer certain pronouns.


Senior DramaActors and Directors: What is the most dramatic thing that ever happened to you?  How could you exaggerate it to make it into a melodrama?

Theatre Production:  The play "I Shot Santa" is set at various Christmases.  How should we decorate the theatre?  (Drawings are good.)
